Orman Stegall

Orman K. Stegall, age 94, of Murphy, NC died December 27, 2006 at the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home in Murphy, NC.Mr. Stegall was a native of Jackson County, AL before residing in Hayesville then in Blairsville.

He was a Veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. He was a member of the Murphy First Baptist Church, Hill City Lodge #603 F&AM and Oasis Temple Shrine.

He worked for Kern's Bread Route in Murphy for several years. He was also the owner and operator of OK's BBQ in Hiawassee, GA.Orman was the son of the late Arlie Tarrant and Lillie Brazelton Stegall. He was preceded in death by his son Mike Stegall, one brother Ray Stegall and one sister Arlene Parker Stegall.Mr. Stegall is survived by his wife Hattie Thelma Dockery Stegall; one son and his wife, Leamon Stegall and Nell of Apollo Beach, FLand Marble, NC; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Carey Stegall, Kenneth Stegall, Carl Woodland, Richard Hickey, Mark Hickey and Gordon Farmer.
