      Many opinions have been expressed recently about the "Possum Drop" in Brasstown, but one view hasn't been given: the possum's. I was the licensed wildlife rehabilitator for eight years in this area, so I had interaction with literally hundreds of possums.

      On Saturday, December 30th, our son had an accident on Rt. 294 near the EMS station. We would like to thank the Ranger Fire Department and the passers-by who stopped to assist him. Thank you to the lady who was able to get through on her cell phone and called us to let us know about it.

Littering in the county
      I want to thank everyone who picked all the garbage up from our roads. To the pigs and hogs who came after and littered the roads again, I know of a hog farmer who is looking for more stock, or send your name and address and it will all be dumped in your yard. We need more respect for our community...
