Roberta Causey

Roberta H. Smits Causey, 82, of Murphy died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2007) in a Murphy hospital. She was born in Den Helder, Holland and immigrated to the San Francisco Bay, CA area and had lived in Cherokee County for about 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Robertus M. and Antonia Van't Oost Smits and was the wife of the late Moss Schelly Causey, Jr., who died Jan. 23, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the Murphy First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Jane Causey of Murphy and Suzanna Gulbranson of Spring Grove, MN; and five grandchildren.

Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy was in charge of arrangements.
