Hiwassee Dam Prom 2007

Juniors, seniors and their dates danced the night away Saturday at the Hiwassee Dam High School prom. Senior Haylee Christopher, left, and Ashley Moser are obviously having a great time as they dance at McGuire's Millrace Farm Saturday. Beautiful gowns and well-dressed guys were part of the scene at the prom. From the top are Jordan Johnson, Sarah Smith, Brett Rice, Bethany Hamby, Lucas Pack and Caroline White. The Hiwassee Dam Prom 2007 was held at McGuire's Millrace Farm in Peachtree. Hiwassee Dam High School is the smallest of the three major high schools in Cherokee County. Kenny Garland is principal. Crowning of the king and queen was held about 10:30 p.m. and T.J. Pinkerton was voted king and Erica Morrow was chosen as queen. Laughter and fun was the by-product of the prom Saturday. Prom goers weren't shy about dancing as students and some teachers were brave enough to get on the dance floor. Above, left are senior Tiffany DuBois and date Chris Floyd. Everyone was reportedly well behaved as no problems were reported.
