Man thrown from car that almost ends up in the river
By Amanda Hyatt

Chris Revis was traveling at an estimated speed of 70 mph, which led to a charge of reckless driving and transporting open alcohol. After an initial evaluation at Murphy Medical Center, Revis was transported by EMS to UT Hospital/Knoxville, TN.
The dramatic wreck on Fairview Rd. off of Hwy. 141 caused injury to only one person and limited damage to property last Thursday. According to State Patrol officers, Christopher James Revis, was travelling at an excessive rate of speed and lost control of the full-sized Ford he was driving. The single car accident occured when Revis dropped off the road to the right, over corrected completely to the left side, crossed the road again to the right stricking the embankment where the truck overturned. It is believed at this point Revis was thrown from the vehicle into the ditch on the right side of the road as the truck

skidded on it's top across the road toward the river where it struck a tree and came to rest on the bank.

Bystanders, hearing the crash, searched for Revis in the truck and along the bank until they found him in an unconscious state in the ditch on the other side of the road. A call to 911 produced Rescue Squad personnel almost immediatly and Revis was taken to Murphy Medical for treatment.
