Louis Stiles

Louie Stiles, 73, of Winston, GA was born on February 5, 1934 in Cherokee County, NC. He was the son of Mitchell and Lula Raper Stiles. He was married to Vivian Virginia Powell of Turtletown, TN for 53 years. They moved to Smyrna, GA in 1969 where they lived for over 30 years to raise four children and eight grandchildren before retiring to their dream home in Winston, GA.

Louie was a talented carpenter. After 20+ years of service at the Atlantic-Pacific Tea Company, he started his own commercial repair business which catered to grocery stores. Stiles Commercial Repair has been in business for over 20 years. Louie was loved by all his customers and employees. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, his favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. He also loved gardening. He maintained vegetable and flower gardens and took great pride in teaching his grandchildren the names of trees, flowers, and bushes.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clifton "Scrooger" Stiles and William "Bill" Stiles. He leaves behind his loving wife, Vivian and their four children and in-laws, Gary and Debbie Stiles

He also leaves behind sisters, Vesta Hamby of Acworth, GA, Joyce Murphy of Murphy, Peggy Rary of Coyners, GA, and Linda Powell of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Clyde, Herbert, Tom, and Mike Stiles all of Murphy, and Clois "Chub" Stiles of Acworth; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews; and his little dog, Buddy.

Pallbearers: Matt, Steve, Eddie Joe, and Michael Stiles, Tony Hamby, and David Powell. Honorary pallbearer: Bill Gibbs.

The family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Louie Stiles to the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Charles Boring, 496 Cliff Raper Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
