Fatlips at Fatback's
By Anna Mitchell

Heith Burns and Brad Rice swapped punches Wednesday evening at Fatback's Citgo gas station in Murphy.
Fatback's Citgo got more business than it asked for on Wednesday when a fight between two local men arose in the parking lot of the gas station.

Bradley James Rice, 22, and Heith Ramsey Burns, 20, were arrested after eight calls were made to the Murphy Police Department of a fight in progress. The fight began in the rear seat of a car and proceeded to move to the parking lot. On lookers watched as the two men wrestled each other to the ground and exchanged throws. The fight moved from the parking lot to the sidewalk as attempts to seperate the two were made. After the police arrived the two men were taken into custody.

Rice was charged with being intoxicated and disruptive, disorderly conduct, simple affray, and two counts of probation violation. Burns was arrested for simple affray, consumption of alcohol by a minor, being intoxicated and disruptive, and disorderly conduct. A non related fight also broke out at the same time between two high school girls.
Murphy police officer Mike Hall attempted to get the story straight as he talked to the two men involved in the fight.
