The board was informed that the Valley River Resort Park located in Marble could not be annexed into the town of Andrews because the park is beyond the three mile limit. The park is 4.2 miles outside of Andrews. Had the park been within the limit it would have added 225 water and sewer taps and would have provided taxes on each of the 225 lots that are to sold individually. The board had received a request from dentist Dr. James Vollmer concerning a lot he owns on the south side of Third Street. Vollmer wants to build a new dentist office on the lot. However the lot is currently zoned residential. He is requesting the lot be rezoned to highway business. The aldermen will hold a public input meeting during next month's meeting which will be held on July 10th. |
