Presentation for potential development of closed county landfill

Some Aquaponics Course participants touring the Aquaponics Greenhouse heated by the waste methane at the closed landfill used by Mitchell & Yancey Counties. Aquaponics is the combining of aquaculture and hydroponics in an ecologically balanced system for mutual benefit.
There will be a presentation concerning a potential joint project with Pacesetters at 9:30 am Saturday, June 23. The presentation will focus on the development of the closed Cherokee County Landfill for the production of a large variety of organically produced fish, small livestock, vegetables, greens and herbs in a naturally balanced ecosystem. The purpose will be for youth outreach, training and eventually involving youth in overseas outreach to needy areas. We will need a team of folks with various skills & talents. Your involvement is valuable for it¿s success.
