HRWC 4th annual Trout Dinner
For the fourth consecutive year, the Hiwassee River Watershed Coalition is in partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Union County Cooperative Extension to bring you the best smoked trout dinner in the watershed! On Thursday, June 28th at 6:00pm at Poteete Creek Park on Lake Nottely, farm-raised smoked trout will be served along with baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, cornbread, your choice of homemade desserts and a drink. A limited amount of pulled pork BBQ will also be served on a first-come-first-served basis.
Irons in the Fire will provide live music this year. Bring a folding chair, if you have one. Come get a good meal and help support locally led water quality projects! Tickets are $10/plate; children 6 & under eat free. The entrance to the park is off of Nottely Dam Road (Hwy. 325) near the intersection with Loving Road in the northwestern corner of Union County, Georgia. For more detailed directions to the park, visit the Coalition's website: http://www.hrwc.net or call the Coalition office at 837- 5414.
