Coffee with the Poets invites students

Coffee with the Poets, a monthly reading of poetry for anyone who enjoys poetry, takes place July 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Phillips and Lloyd Book Shop on the square in Hayesville, NC.

This month we want to welcome students of any age to come and read one of their original poems during open mic. We know the schools are filled with excellent young writers, and we hope they will join us for this special day.

The featured poet for July is NCWN West member, Linda Smith of Hayesville. Linda writes poetry, essays and fiction. She has been writing and publishing for a number of years. Her poetry may be humorous or serious so be prepared for either.

Scones, tea and coffee from Crumpett's Dessertery are available to all our guests. Come early for a good seat.
