4-H members visit Churchill Downs and Midway College

PHOTOS CONTRIBUTED Far left, Cherokee County 4-H Club visited the famous horse racing park Churchill Downs in Kentucky. Club members met the 2007 Derby winner, Street Sense and watched the early morning training before the days' races.
Cherokee County 4-H Club explores the Midway College in Kentucky. The woman's college offers students courses in equine management. Club memberrs are from left, bottom, Karlee Hopkins, Stewart Close, Bryson Cheek; second row, Kiffney Griggs, Sam House and Sarah Close; third row, Daniel Hudson and Chelsea Hall.
Above, students visit the Louisville Slugger factory and museum. A giant bat marks the entrance to the building.
