Donnie Ray Hogsed

Donnie Ray Hogsed, age 47 of Blairsville formally of Marble, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. Donnie was born Sunday, September 27, 1959 in Cherokee Co. NC to the late Boyd Hogsed and the late Betty Howard Hogsed. He attended the Old Fashioned Baptist Church and had worked as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by Chris Nelson a special friend whom he though of as a son..

Survivors include: wife, Samantha Muir Hogsed, son, Travis Hogsed of of the home, son, Marty Hogsed of the home, brother, William Boyd Hogsed of Marble, brother & sister in law, Charles & Laura Hogsed of Andrews, brother & sister in law, Bruce & Terrie Hogsed of Ellijay, sister, Brenda Grindstaff of Andrews, four special boys he called his, Clint Cable of Andrews,

Barry Cable of Andrews, Darrin Nelson of Topton and David Nelson of Topton, two aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Old Fashioned Baptist Church with the Reverend Hoyt Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Old Fashioned Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Clint Cable, Barry Cable, Darrin Nelson, James Davey, Adam Muir, Mickey Grindstaff and J.R. Muir.
