Della Nation

Della Lou Higdon Nation, age 60, of Shelby, NC formerly of Polk County, TN. died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at her home.

A native of Polk County, Tennessee, she had retired from the Textile Industry. Della was a daughter of the late Claude and Phoebe Lowery Higdon and was preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtle, Catherine and Wealthy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Nevert Leroy Nation, Sr.; three sons, Jeffrey Bingham of Charlotte, NC, Leroy Nation and wife Tana of Shelby and Ricky Nation of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Bingham and husband Steven Reed of Hickory, NC; five sisters, Susie, Gladys, Jerline, Johnnie Mae and Liz of Georgia and Tennessee; six grandchildren, Leroy Nation, III, Jeremiah Nation, Seth Bingham, Chey Nation, Kaitlyn Nation and Tammie Philbeck; and one greatgrandson, Xander Philbeck.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made In Memory of Della Lou Higdon Nation to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.

Townson Rose Funeral Home, Murphy, NC was in charge of local arrangements.
