Annual 5K Run and Heart Walk Saturday September 15th

There are only a couple of weeks left until the exciting Murphy Medical Center 5K Challenge and Heart Walk. Murphy Medical Center will be holding its Seventeenth Annual 5K Run, Two Mile Heart Walk and Kid's Fun Run on Saturday September 15.

This year's 5K Run and Heart Walk will start a 9 a,m, with the Kid's Fun Run to follow. Registration will be from 7:30 to 8:30. All events will begin at the entrance to the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Runners, joggers, walkers of all ages-from fitness enthusiasts to casual strollers are invited to join in, have some fun while supporting the expansion of Murphy Medical Center's Emergency Room.

Once again there will be attractive, multi-colored T-shirts for all participants and a range of trophies for the top finishers in each five-year age group from 10 and under to 60 and over. Every child in the Kid's Fun Run will receive an award. The entry fee for the 5K Run and the Heart Walk is $15.00 for those who pre-register and $20 on race day.
