Shirley Hall

Shirley Jo Ann Hall, age 67 of Murphy, NC, diedSunday, August 26, 2007 at Murphy Medical Center. Jo Ann was born Sunday, October 8, 1939 in Cherokee Co. NC to the late Oscar Dockery and the late Maggie Brown Dockery. A member of Grape Creek Bapist Church, worked for Dr. Harry Dickey for over 6 years and Clifton Precision for about 15 years and for a while at the Cherokee Scout.

Survivors include: husband of 48 years, Rev. Dean Hall, daughter & son-in-law, Cindy & Ronnie Wilson of Murphy, granddaughter, Sara Wilson of Murphy, sister &brother-in-law, Louise & Bud McDonald of Murphy, sister & brother-in-law, Virginia & Wayne Cornwell of Murphy, brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth & Fran Dockery of Murphy, brother & sister in-law, Lee Roy & Margaret Dockery of Murphy, brother-inlaw & sister-in-law, Marvin & Shirley Hall of Murphy, brotherin law & sister-in-law, Bob & Troylynn Hall of Dallas, GA, brother-in-law, Billy Hall of Murphy, sister-in-law, Helen Dockery of Murphy and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Larry Brown, officiating. Music was provided by Grape Creek Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in Grape Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Robby Hall, Terry Hall, John Hall, Kyle Hall, David McDonald, Nathan Sneed. Honorary pallbearers included: Tony Hall, Joseph Hall, Harold Coleman, Junior Carter, J.D. Peek, Shirrel Radford, Greg Johnson.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to Gideon's of Murphy Memorial Bible Program, P.O. Box 624, Murphy, NC 28906.
