Ruby Rose

Ruby Alene Rose, age 72, of Turtletown, TN died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Emory Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA.

Mrs. Rose was a native of Cherokee County, NC and she was the daughter of the late William and Geneva Long Brannon. She retired from Guthrie Machine Works as a machinest for over 30 years. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and loved spending time with her granddaughters. Ruby was a member of Violet Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Beecher Rose, August 2004 and daugher, Sheila Ruth Rose, November 1956; sister, Elsie Robert and three brothers, Jack Brannon, Lincoln Brannon and Joe Brannon.

Ruby is survived by her son and his wife, Mitchell Rose and Torey of Snellville, GA; four granddaughters, Donna Christine Greene and her husband Chris, Rebecca Leigh Rose, Jessica Anne Rose and Jennifer Rose all of Snellville, GA; one brother, R.L. Brannon and his wife Faye of Cairo, GA; two sisters, Eva Jean Murphy and her husband Norville and Violet Smith all of Murphy, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made In Memory of Ruby Alene Rose to the Violet Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jennifer Murphy, 9570 Hiwassee Dam Access Road, Murphy, NC 28906.

Townson Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
