Six years after 9-11, Europe still sleeps at the switch

German author, Henryk Broder, tells young freedom loving Germans to either immigrate to Australia or New Zealand. He says, "Europe as we know it, will no longer exist in 20 years." Self declared "humanist" and Belgian author, Oscar Van den Boogaard, referred to Broder's comments by saying that "coping with the Islamization of Europe is like a "process of mourning" - and that he was "overwhelmed by a feeling of sadness". Boogaard went on to say that he "wasn't a warrior and never learned to fight for his freedom, but he was good at enjoying it." His sentiment is shared by many Europeans and some American politicians.

The demographics of contemporary Europe are instructive for Americans tracing their roots and the roots of Western Civilization there. Today there are over 50 million Muslims in Europe. By 2025 one third of all European children will be born to Muslim families. It's important to mention the difference between a Muslim and an Islamist, offered by a Muslim man. He said it was like "the difference between a German and a Nazi". Islamists are at war with the West. In some European countries Islamist youths wear Tshirts calling for the renaming of Europe to "Eurabia". Another Belgian author predicts that soon one will be able to travel from London to Paris, Amsterdam to Stockholm, to find you've left one city dominated by burkas (traditional Muslim dress) and the Sharia (Islamic Holy Law) only to find another city dominated by burkas and the Sharia. This demographic conquest has initially focused on European cities from which the native inhabitants have been displaced. (Many have immigrated away from Europe.) Most Muslim immigrants prefer not to become fully integrated citizens of their newly adopted countries, but they enjoy the generous welfare subsidies available. Rather, they import the customs and traditions of their Islamic homelands to their ghettolike communities. Meanwhile, the politically correct Left of Europe absurdly celebrates the replacement of their rich and diverse cultures by a single grim Islamic one in the name of "cultural diversity". Some examples of this diversity are: Posted "No-Go" zones in many countries. These are areas where anybody or anything representing Western civilization is not allowed and subject to attack. In other countries Islamic clerics have officially proposed their designated areas be governed only by Islamic Holy Law (Sharia). Practices such as forced marriages, wife abuse, female subjugation, honor killings and female genital mutilation are carried out in Islamist communities despite laws created against them. In many cases, the laws are not enforced by politically correct authorities! At least 50 women were killed (honor killings) in the last decade in Germany alone for trying to live western lifestyles. Many others are suspected to have perished in the same way throughout Europe.

Tom Bethell of the American Spectator summed the situation up best when he wrote "When faith collapses, civilization goes with it." That's the real cause of the closing of European civilization. For Europe, Islamization appears to be the consequence of losing faith and sleeping at the switch.
