Swimming pool to get dome

      A dome that will allow for year round swimming will be installed over the swimming pool at the Hiwassee Valley Pool & Wellness Center next Wednesday. The pool will be closed on Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 4 for installation of the pool from Yeadon Domes, out of Texas.

Murphy leads conference after win against Highlands
     PHOTO SUBMITTED #11, Alex Martin, Midfield Wing, tries a header for the Bulldogs game held at Murphy. The Bulldogs won 5-4, against a tough Highlands team. Alex is a senior and this is his first year with the Bulldogs. Murphy leads the conference now with a 3-0 record.

Dogs stumble but surge past Tigers 42-7

      Trailing 7-0 near the end of the first half, Murphy emerged from its daydream and streaked by Rosman to win the team's first Smokey Mountain Conference game 42-7. The Bulldogs piled up nearly 500 yards of offense as running back Patrick Canizio gained 168 yards on the ground.
