Walmart, looking and limits
By Keith Williamson Special to the Sentinel

Have you ever had one of those moments when it seems God is right there with you? You talk to him and even hear his voice within you.

One of those moments recently occurred to me at Walmart. The path he has chosen for me has not been easy as of late and I told him so.

His response, You know I have looked after you and always will. You just need to trust me more.

Once getting to what I wanted to look at in the store, I have to admit losing contact with God. I was looking at something to get my daughter for Christmas.

What I want to give Rebecca is not just any gift. I want it to remind her of me long after I am gone. It should never tear up and she will use it frequently. Hopefully, she will show her grandchildren the gift years from now and tell them about me.

Since it is such an important gift, I spent a long time examining the proposed item. In my way of thinking you don t just buy the first thing your fingers touch. You make sure it has no defects and is exactly what you want to give. After all, this is for my daughter.

Leaving the area, God spoke to me in a BIG way. Keith, you spent all that time because you want the best for Rebecca and love her. I love you even more. Because of that there is no need to worry about your problems. I have them all under control.

Sometimes it seems God is far away, life is unbearable, and you are about to drown in the problems of life. That is not reality. God is in heaven with a purpose for everything you are going through. The love he has for you is greater than any love you have had, presently have, or ever will have.

God's love for you has no limits. You and I need to remember that when the going gets tough.

However, I'm not going to tell you what I am getting my daughter for Christmas. She too reads this column and that would ruin everything. What can I say? Sometimes even the love between a writer and his readers has to have a limit.
