Annie Ruth Morrow Rayfield
Annie Ruth Morrow Rayfield, 64, of Regal Street, Murphy, NC died Monday, September 24, 2007, at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home in Murphy, NC.
Ruth was a native and lifelong resident of Murphy, NC and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Murphy. She had worked as a Home Health Care Nurse for Cherokee County DSS for five years and she was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late James Alfred and Minnie Pearl Panter Morrow and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jasper Rayfield who died May 25, 2006.
Ruth is survived by her son, Jay Rayfield of Murphy, NC; a daughter, Tammy Lovingood and her husband Donald of Murphy; two grandchildren, Mandy Stiles and her husband Dewayne of Murphy, NC and Barry Dockery and his wife Vickey-Gay of Fayetteville, NC; two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Allison Stiles; a brother, James Morrow and his wife Reba of Marion, NC; three sisters, Mozelle King of Mocksville, NC and Mildred Teague and Jean Panter both of Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held , Thursday, September 27, 2007, at the Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Pastor Harold Stiles and Rev. Aud Brown will officiated. Interment was in the Sunset Cemetery in Murphy, NC. Pallbearers were members of the Murphy Volunteer Fire Department: Al Lovingood, Phil Bowman, W. C. King, Bobby Barton, Doug Vuick and Darrell Decker.
