Try your hand at needle felting

Have you ever thought about how the newly popular needle felting process was done? Kaye Patterson will provide the opportunity as guest instructor at Yarn Circle in Peachtree as part of their fall series of fiber classes and demonstrations.

Wool felting is an age-old technique involving agitating fiber in it's raw form to make warm and very durable material for clothing, rugs, and even covering for shelter. Contemporary needle felting involves working with small tools and colorfully dyed wool to paint and even scultpure, beatiful pieces for garments and decoration.

Kaye Patterson has been making beautiful needle felted clothing and objects for a number of years. She is from Cherokee County and is a frequent instructor at the John C. Campbell Folk School.

"Try Your Hand at Needle Felting" will be offered at the store on Monday October 15th from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The cost is $20 and preregistration is requested.

To register, or more information about fall classes and demos, call 828-835-4592, email yarncircile@brmemc. net or check the website at www.yarncircile.com. Yarn Circle is located at 3851 Highway 64 East in Peachtree Place across from the PARC Fitness and Rehab Center.
