Good barbecue, tools and Miss Makita
What more could a man want?

All over Cherokee County the news was heard, Miss Makita was arriving at Dickey's Supply in Murphy, NC. The lines were backed up in the parking lot eager to catch a glimpse of Miss Makita and to taste the juicy barbecue made by Herbert Nix.

The lovely Miss Makita is Jessica Hall who travels all around the country promoting Makita tools. She raffledoff many door prizes including a 50 ft. extension cord won by Shelba Adams; a 50 ft. water hose won by Jonathan Bates; a 3 piece rain suit won by Wayne Reagan; 2 Fat Max screwdrivers; another 50 ft. water hose won by Steven Gadreau; a 48" level won by Jerry Tipton; vise grips won by L. Franzen and Don Zimmerman; a smaller level was won by Jessica Benn; a Makita Pneumatic framing nailer was won by Boyd Luther; a Razor back shovel won by John Sandidjo and also a 185 mm circular saw was won by Robert Mashburn. She charmed the guests with her welcoming presence and with her autographed posters that she gave as gifts.

At the end of the event, the guests were pleased with the exciting day of good barbecue, tools and Miss Makita, as well as the staff of Dickey's Supply. What more could a man want?
