NCDOT to close section of Brasstown rd. in Cherokee County for intersection work

The N.C. Department of Transportation will close Brasstown Road/Old U.S. 64 (Secondary Road 1548) at its intersection with future U.S. 64 in Cherokee County beginning Monday, Oct. 15. The closure is necessary to complete intersection improvements and is expected to be in place until Monday, Nov. 12.

During the closure, motorists wishing to access Brasstown Road from U.S. 64 will be directed to Clayton Road (S.R. 1547), which will take them back to Brasstown Road.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit. For more information on this project, please contact the resident engineer at (828) 321-5061.
