Electronics stolen
By Dwight Otwell Editor

Sometime on the night of October 9 to October 10, someone broke into the North Carolina State Children's Development Services Agency and stole three laptop computers and a digital camera.

Murphy Assistant Police Chief Jeff Postell said the computers may contain some sensitive information. The agency is located at 16 Springdale Street.

The investigation has turned up some leads, Postell said. He asked the public to be on the lookout for the computers. The Gateway laptop computers have serial numbers of 0035659573, 0033846284 and 0033846283. The Sony DSC-H2 Digital Camera "Cyber-Shot" has a serial number of 3519190.

If anyone has information concerning the stolen items call the Murphy Police Department or go online to www.murphypolice. com and go under the news link.
