Students in grades 5-8 at Murphy Adventist Christian School attended Camp Wildlife at Ellijay Wildlife Rehab Sanctuary in Ellijay, Georgia. The activities of the camp centered on the students' study of American pioneers and their western expansion across our continent.
Activities ranged from care of the animals, a creek walk, candle making, cooking pioneer stew, panning for gold, to a night walk. During the night walk the eyes of the caged cougars could be seen glowing in the dark, as flashlights picked up the stare of these powerful cats.
