Catherine Miller

Catherine Schumann Miller, age 90, of Murphy, NC died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home in Murphy, NC.

Mrs. Miller was a native of Fulton County, New York. She was a Registered Nurse and had worked in hospitals and as Director of Nursing in nursing homes. She was a member of the Saint William Catholic Church in Murphy, NC, and served as a member, treasurer and president of the Lake Hamilton Women's' Club; in which she received numerous first place state awards for her talented art work.

She was a daughter of the late Max and Mary Albrecht Schumann and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Leon Miller; a son, Timothy Miller; three sisters; and one brother.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son and his wife, Daniel E. and Mary L. Miller of Murphy, NC; a

daughter, Theresa Kucharczyk of Goetzville, Michigan; a sister, Marguerite Eacker of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., S atu rdayNovember17,2007 at the St. William Catholic Church in Murphy, NC. Rev. Father George Kloster will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1385 Ed Graves Road, Murphy, NC immediately following the Memorial Mass.
