Bernard Rieke

Bernard C. Rieke, age 66, of Murphy, NC and formerly of Sarasota, FLdied Monday, November 12, 2007 at his residence.

Bernie was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a son of the late Clemons Bernard and Catherine Margarette Lichtenberg Rieke. He was a self employed contractor specializing in residential repair and remodel.

Bernie is survived by his wife, Judith Lee Murdock Rieke; two sons, Allen Rieke and wife Mariannne and Dale Rieke and wife Kelly all of Sarasota, FL; two stepsons, Howard Briner and wife Anna of Katy, TX and Jeffrey Briner and wife Mitzi of Concord Township, OH; one stepdaughter, Vicki Lansen and husband Gregory of Republic of Chile; a sister, Joan Miller and her husband Rod of Merriam, KS; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at later date.

Townson Rose Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
