Third quarter Eagle surge buries Braves
      The Hiwassee Dam Lady Eagles had a huge run in the third quarter of their game on December 4 against Cherokee. The Lady Eagles were leading 23-20 at the half. But Hiwassee Dam outscored the Braves 16-4 in the third quarter and won the game 56-32.

      The Hiwassee Dam boys basketball team Friday defeated Robbinsville 83-61. Blake Roberts scored 25 points, Kendric McDonald scored 21 and Jordan Johnson scored 14. Johnson led the team with nine rebounds while Roberts had seven. Jonathan Floyd had eight assists.
