Bankers Hour nets $19,500 for charities

Blairsville, GA - April 24, 2008 - United Community Banks employees entertained thousands of customers and friends with their action-packed, live production of The Banker Hour on Saturday, April 12th. Donations were accepted which will benefit many community charities. The result: a total of $19,500.00 for charities throughout the United footprint in Georgia, western North Carolina and east Tennessee.

This annual event is a family affair and another example of United Community Bank's spirit and commitment to its communities. In that same spirit, United is proud to announce the following donations as selected by each location:
