Students visit CNN

Murphy High Schools' Video Production classes and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) visited the Atlanta CNN Center Studio on April 21, 2008. The video classes have been studying and producing instructional videos, documentaries, newscast, commercials, public service announcements and other interesting educational videos. Visiting the CNN Center Studio gives students the opportunity to understand the ethical, cultural, and societal issues related to technology. Students use technology tools to enhance learning, increase productivity, and promote creativity. They also learn to use telecommunications to collaborate, publish, and interact with peers, experts and other audiences. This tour uses a variety of media and formats to communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences, which students should not only be aware of, but understand. The Inside CNN tour touches on a wide variety of national standard for educators - such as Social Studies, History, Journalism, English / Language Arts, and Technology.
