Book author coming to Murphy

Ann B. Ross, the author of the popular "Miss Julia" series, will be appearing at The Curiosity Shop Bookstore, 46 Valley River Avenue, Murphy, on Saturday, May 24, from 12:00 A.M. till 2:00 P.M. to sign her latest book, "Miss Julia Paints The Town". If you have copies of her other books, she will be happy to sign those also. There are eight previous books in the series, all of which are available at the bookstore.

Miss Julia is a Southern lady of a certain age who constantly finds herself embroiled in rather mysterious situations that only she can find the answers to. She does this with style, wit, acerbity and Southern charm. She is not a delicate flower! Miss Julia lives in a small town in Western North Carolina, not unlike Murphy, populated by a host of interesting and unusual characters. Her latest adventure involves trying to halt the bulldozing of the old courthouse to make way for the building of ritzy condominiums. This is not a happy situation for the town or Miss Julia, who does her utmost to see that it doesn't happen

If you've read any of the Miss Julia books, you'll certainly enjoy meeting the author. If you're new to the series, treat yourself to one or two---- you'll be happy you did!
