Lighting of torch kicks off games

When the former Senior Games Medal Winners brought in the torch, the honored guest seats and audience stands emptied to join in the one mile walk. As the Hiawassee Middle and High School Concert Band played, former Senior Games medal winners, elected officials, first time Senior Games participants from Cherokee, Clay, and Graham counties, Murphy High School Interact Club volunteers, and members of the audience from three years old up all joined in the parade which culminated in the first lighting of the torch to open Cherokee County Senior Games/SilverArts.
